Summer days in the city of Calgary are usually warm and dry with cool evenings because of the altitude (1084 m or 3566 ft) and proximity to the mountains. VENUE: The Championships will be staged at THE LAKES OF KASTYNSTONE, home of the Predator Bay Water Ski Club. The twin man-made lakes are located on the south end of the Calgary city limits.  The Official Hotel: The official hotel is the Delta South Calgary. The hotel is a 20 minute drive from the ski site. Organizers have negotiated special rates for skiers, Federations, and supporters. Rates include a full hot breakfast and free parking. All rooms have internet access. The event transportation system will shuttle participants to and from the Official Hotel only. There are a limited number of rooms available, and are to be booked directly with the hotel on a first come, first served basis, using the special booking code: WWC09. VIP Suites: Another way for spectators or Federations to enjoy the event is to purchase their own premium VIP suite. These suites are in prime viewing location and can either seat 20 or 30 people. These suites feature private food and beverage, private bleacher seating and preferred parking. Suite packages for the whole week are $10,000 CDN or $15,000 CDN for the 20 or 30 person suite, respectively. Individual VIP tickets are $575. TRAINING ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP SITE: Training on the site is available with bookings handled directly through the Predator Bay Water Ski Club from May 15 through to July 31, 2009. For available dates and times, please visit http://www.predatorbaywaterskiclub.com/schedules2009.html . This must be booked in advance and will be limited to scheduled blocks of time or in coordination with Club skiing activities. Interested parties will be able to book time either as a team or as individuals with the following conditions: Team Access: Access is available Monday to Sunday from 7am to 10am, with a 1 hour minimum and a 3 hour maximum per day. Each team will be allowed up to 5 consecutive days of training, subject to previously scheduled club activities.The cost for training is CDN$300 per hour and includes site, boat, gas, and driver. Independent Access: The Club will allow up to three (3) individual skiers per day, a maximum of three (3) sets per day. This access will be provided as part of the regular club skiing access and will be subject to driver availability.The cost per set is CDN$50/set and each set is limited to 15 minutes.
